SUNVENT Solar Extractor Vent (SVT series)

with latest o-ring technology implementation for SVT-212/224 series(NOTE 1)

SUNVENT is a vent designed to be mounted on any horizontal surface, such as the roof. Power by the sunlight and operates whenever receive the sunlight. No any external power required. 

Features:

• Automatically operates when the sun goes up

• Extract heat air out to prevent heat accumulated

• Prevent damp, condensation, mold, mildew, musty odors etc

• Moves 11.6 cubic feet of air per minute. Estimated extracts 6.3 cuft/min of air under full sun

  1. 50mm height: Plastic(ABS) or SUS304 Stainless steel. Clear Top lens included

  2. 35mm height: Low profile design for less outline air flow resistance

• High efficiency made in Taiwan solar cell generates 1.5W electrical power under full sunlight.

• Optional model include battery store energy for operating in the night time.

• Optional Special Overflow preventer in order to prevent water get in.

• Application: any place hope to get refresh air. For ex: caravans, boats, green houses, RVs, trucks, lorries, vans, offices, home conservations, kitchens or bathroom substation. Lofts, house boxes, stables farm building, unoccupied holiday homes, temporary sites, telephone boxes etc.

• Installation guideline:

  • Cut a hole with proper size on the surface plan to install SUNVENT

  • Along the border of the hole, fill up certain amount material to seal the gap between the hole and SUNVENT. Carefully checking sealing status along the edge of the hole, seal with proper material in order to prevent water leaking from the gap. So don't forget or don't use too few amount material to seal the gap

  • Fixing SUNVENT with screws through the eyelets. Solatron provides screws

  • Enjoy the silence and eco friendly working fan making the air fresh to breath

  • If the wall thickness is longer than SUNVENT, SOLATRON also provide extending sleeve (ES-V) to place under SUNVENT and to extends the air flow path

    • SUNVENT could be installed unto walls or other materials with a thickness greater than 40mm (1 & 9/16 inches).

    • Optional hood under SUNVENT or ES-V

• Solatron recommends SUNVENT amount to be used:

  • Space less than 24 ft3: At least 1 exhaust vent

  • Space less than 40 ft: At least 1 exhaust vent and 1 intake vent

  • Space over 40 ft: 2 or more exhaust vent and 1 intake vent

• 1 year limited warranty

  • In order to prevent water go into vent body, Solatron had developed o-ring technology to seal the gap along the plastic wall of solar cell and the stanless steel cowl. And it is can be implement to all SVT-212S/224S model since 2021 Jun.

• • NOTE2

    • 1.2V 3000mAH NiMH rechargeable battery. When charge under sufficient sunlight, it may able to support the fan operate around 6 hours. 

      1. Pros: We choose the Ni-MH battery because it is very safe for operating under the sunlight. Also no charging memory problem. If you meet drain power battery, turn off the fan to charging mode and put the fan to receive the sunlight for more than 1 day (the more day the more power charge back) to let the battery resume charging/discharging activity and the fan will resume working.

      2. Cons: charging speed is very slow.

    • To change fan blade, open SUNVENT, remove the blade and replace with the opposite one.

    • Recommend the exhaust fan blade if only one SUNVENT ventilator installed. If multiple vents, try different configurations of intake and exhaust to obtain cross flow ventilation
